Training

Our 'home' is technically at QSAC stadium on Kessels Road, Upper Mt Gravatt however we run different routes on different days of the week. Take a look at our weekly, regular runs below and also follow along on Facebook to stay up to date.

These are our regular meeting places:

This is a map showing the start point from QSAC at Carpark No 3. Map 1

This is a map showing the start point from University Rd entrance to Griffith University. Map 2

This is a map showing Blackberry Street, Mansfield. If you turn left into Blackberry Street off Dewdrop Street, you will see a block of toilets (pink pin). This is where we park and begining running from on Friday mornings. Map 3

Often there is a group leaving from Dock Street, Kangaroo Point Brisbane on Sunday mornings. We meet and park here, where the X is. Follow Dock Street straight down under the motorway and park on the right hand side where the cliffs begin. Map 4

Mondays​
 

No scheduled runs. Check Facebook as sometimes we organise impromtu sessions. 

 

Tuesdays
 

TIME: 5:15am start, finish by 6:15am

MEETING POINT: Toilet block at QSAC stadium. Map 1.

WHAT: an hour through the Toohey trails - all abilities

NOTES: Sometimes we will also offer a Tempo Session during the same time. Coffee after at Hallowed Grounds.

 

 

 

Wednesdays​

 

Trail Run in Daisy Hill

TIME: 5:15am start

MEETING POINT: Daisy Hill, Top Carpark 1

WHAT: an hour through some Daisy Hill Trails

 

Beginners Easy Paced Run.

MEETING POINT: University Rd (Entrance to Griffith Uni) (see map 2)

START: 5:30pm start

WHAT: Easy run in Tooheys Forrest

Check Facebook as sometimes we organise other impromtu sessions. 

 

 

Thursdays​

 

START: 5:15am start, finish by 6am

MEETING POINT: Toilet block at QE2 stadium (see map 1)

WHAT: 10 minute warm up, followed by 25 minute speed session and cool down 

NOTES: 1st Thursday of each month is usually a time trial. Other sessions vary. May be 100m / 200m / 400m / 800m or combination. Showers and bathrooms available for afterwards. Coffee at Little Green, on Logan Road Mt Gravatt from 6:10am 

 

START: 5:45pm start for 6:30pm finish 

MEETING POINT: Toilet block at QE2 stadium (see map 1)

WHAT: 10 minute warm up, followed by 25 minute speed session and cool down 

NOTES: 1st Thursday of each month is usually a time trial. Other sessions vary. May be 100m / 200m / 400m / 800m or combination. Showers and bathrooms available for afterwards. 

 
Fridays
 

START: 5:15am sharp, finish by 6:10am

MEETING POINT: Toilet block at Blackberry Street, Mansfield (Map 3)

WHAT: 9.5km run mainly along footpaths and bikeway around Carindale area. Some hills. Relaxed pace. 

NOTES: Coffee after at Badminton Brew

 
Saturdays
 

START: 6am start, finish between 7 and 7:30am depending on chosen distance 

MEETING POINT: Toilet block at QSAC stadium (Map 1)

WHAT: 9 to 15km relaxed run through Griffith uni, then Toohey trails and up to Mt Gravatt lookout. Distance varies depending on which route you choose on the way home. There will aways be groups running short, medium or longer. This is club run, its very social. 

NOTES: Showers and bathrooms available for afterwards. Coffee at Little Green Cafe at the Village Mt Gravatt. 

 
Sundays

 

 

Sunday runs vary depending on what everyone is training for. Sometimes we meet in the city, other times we meet in the suburbs. Often there are multiple groups out for multiple distances. You need to check Facebook for details of Sunday sessions. They are always followed by coffee afterwards! See Map 4 for Dock St Run
